Greater Harvester I was a huge fan of Braids, Cabal Minion and played Pirates and other Braids decks to some success while Psycho-B*tch was around. Greater Harvester might be even better. There’s a ton of things going for this card; as a 5/6 it’s got a huge threatening body that can put away a game quickly if it’s ability disrupts your opponent for a turn or two. And that disruption ability! Having your opponent sacrifice two permanents each time you hit them is amazing. The only hiccup is the fact that your opponent will likely want to chump block, trading his worst creature for your least-needed permanent. Wait just a minute though – that’s not really a hiccup at all since Black is chock full of removal !

When writing my last article, I touched upon Drop of Honey in a Legacy sideboard. After playing with it for a while, I’ve come to appreciate how much awesome sauce can be packed in to one card. Therefore I decided to see what can be done with this card and built three Legacy decks designed to exploit the Arabian Nights rare.
…Undeniably amazing, Morphling could easily walk all over an opponent struggling to get out from underneath a pile of Honeycombs…
What I am offering up is a list of points that you should think about if you ever want to improve your game. While I realize this type of thing has been done many times before, I think I have a number of things to hit on that many people haven’t covered, and that I find very important to anyone looking to get better at Magic, especially Limited. These are things that changed me from a mediocre player into a pro player years ago, and they are general enough that they can work for everyone.

Thursday, September 25th – Since the complete spoiler for Shards of Alara isn’t publicly available as I’m writing this, I’ve decided to forego a set review and instead focus on some of the themes specific Shards bring us with an eye towards Standard. What’s caught my imagination first is the Devour mechanic as offered up by the denizens of Jund, the Black-Red-Green Shard.
…So let’s walk through this: drop a Mycoloth and Devour a Llanowar Elf and two Kitchen Finks; you end…
